You can change the past, it just does affect you unless you ride it out to the present. Interpretation of the historical facts of the past is what we are taught. Including all of the facts in that interpretation is sometimes not what happens. It is a historical fact, the sun came up yesterday. Was it hot or cold, depends on where you were. What it meant to you is relative. Truth and Fact are not always the same thing.
When you avoid searching for comfort and coping, and instead claw your way through life, playing the next hand dealt, even when you aren’t prepared to. Not stopping at the winning hand, and not stopping at the losing hands either. You just keep playing the next round, regardless of where you are, and ignoring the previous hands that you have been dealt. After a while, your brain simply doesn’t have the bandwidth to remember all of it. When flashbacks happen, you just endure it, and move on as quickly as you can. Eventually, you will quit or transcend. Game over. Where we all end up anyway.
The past can be changed through mental attitude towards the present moment, we should remember people are not made in stone. We simply consciousness in physicality…
